Chapter Summary
Chapter 1: Treasure Land On January 29, 1962, Shin'ichi Yamamoto set off for the Middle East with only three youth division leaders accompanying him.
Chapter 2: Long Journey The group visits Turkey, Greece and Egypt. On the plane home, Shin'ichi thought of what a long journey kosen-rufu was.
Chapter 3: Acceleration The fifth memorial service for Josei Toda [marking the fourth anniversary of his death] and the long-awaited groundbreaking ceremony for the Grand Reception Hall were held at the head temple on April 2.
Chapter 4: Rough Seas There was a sharp rise in the threats and harassment directed at the Komei-backed candidates and the Soka Gakkai as a result.
Chapter 5: Young Eagles The summer of youth had come. On July 16, some twenty young men and women -- Student Division representatives gathered in a traditional Japanese-style room, in the Seikyo Shimbun Building in Shinanomachi, Tokyo.
