Information about Shipping Cost

The SGI Canada Online Bookstore sends your order through the Expedited Parcel delivery service by Canada Post. 

Unfortunately, with the small volume of orders we receive at this stage, the SGI Canada Online Bookstore cannot compete with the shipping costs of major online companies. Also, as there is only one distribution centre in Canada, it is not possible to offer curbside/in-store pickup to our customers.

All orders will incur a predetermined minimum shipping fee based on your location. This minimum shipping fee is set as the cost to send 500g of product to your location. In other words, all orders up to and including 500g will incur the same shipping fee. Shipping fees beyond the minimum charge are calculated based on their weight rounded up to the next threshold. The thresholds are 500g (the minimum), 1,750g, 4,750g, 7,250g, 9,500g(the maximum).

As with the minimum order, in order to maximize your cost efficiency, your order will want to be as close as possible to the next weight threshold. However, since the shipping fees are calculated automatically in the system, there may be some variance. As such, you might want to make your own weight calculations with your order by adding or removing items to see how the shipping fee changes.
