Chapter Summary
Chapter 1: Golden Bridge Shin'ichi was keenly aware that once the Vietnam War was brought to an end, China would become the next focus of world attention.
Chapter 2: Guiding Star On September 13, 1968, Shin'ichi Yamamoto flew from Tokyo to Asahikawa in Hokkaido, he was heading for Wakkanai, one of Japan's northernmost cities.
Chapter 3: Shining Citadel, Shin'ichi visits Amami Oshima, where in early May 1967 there was a community-wide campaign to ostracize the local Soka Gakkai members.
Chapter 4: Land of Happiness Shin'ichi visits Okinawa, which was an integral part of Japan that had been under US administration and where the fervent wish of both the people of Okinawa as well as all Japanese was for the reversion of Okinawa to Japan.
